Milford Haven Domestic Abuser
Nathan Clark, aged 31 and residing on Larch Road in Milford Haven, has been sentenced to three years in prison after being convicted by a jury at Swansea Crown Court of multiple offences against his former partner. Clark was found guilty of coercive control, threatening to share intimate images of the victim, assault causing actual bodily harm, and strangulation. Prior to the trial, he admitted to two counts of criminal damage related to his partner’s mobile phone on Christmas Day and a door at her residence on New Year’s Eve. During the trial, Clark attempted to portray himself as the victim of ongoing coercive control and violence, but the jury dismissed these claims. Judge Paul Thomas KC highlighted that Clark had a history of violence against women and warned that he remains a significant risk to any future partners, emphasizing the profound impact his actions had on the victim, who described feeling like "a shadow" of herself and expressed fear of what might have happened. The judge also imposed a 10-year restraining order against Clark to prevent any contact with the victim.
