NALEEM NASLEEM SENTENCED FOR RAPE IN LINTHORPE, MIDDLESBROUGH

In a case that has sent shockwaves through the Middlesbrough community, Naleem Nasleem, a taxi driver from Oxford Road in Linthorpe, was convicted of heinous crimes involving a passenger.

The incident took place in the early hours of a September morning last year, raising serious concerns about safety and trust in private hire services within the area.

Following an extensive eight-day trial at Teesside Crown Court, a jury found Nasleem guilty of two counts of rape.

The court proceedings revealed disturbing details about the assault, which occurred while Nasleem was operating as a private hire taxi driver.

The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was subjected to a brutal attack during her journey, prompting a swift and thorough investigation by law enforcement authorities.

Judge Simon Phillips QC delivered the verdict and subsequently handed down a severe sentence of ten years in prison for Nasleem.
