TOTTENHAM MAN SENTENCED TO SIX YEARS FOR VIOLENT RAPE
A man from Tottenham named Mohammed Mohammed, aged 19, residing on Pembury Road, has been sentenced to six years in prison for the crime of rape. The incident occurred early in the morning of June 8, 2009, at the victim's home in Southgate, where Mohammed visited the residence of a woman he knew.
Despite her pleas for him to leave, he forcibly entered her bedroom, stripped naked, and got into her bed.
The victim entered the room attempting to persuade him to leave but was subjected to a prolonged and violent assault by Mohammed.
After the attack, Mohammed, who had spent the day smoking cannabis, donned a pink dressing gown, sat with the victim's mother and sister, and insisted the group discuss religion.
The judge described Mohammed as 'remorseless' and noted his inability to comprehend the gravity of his actions, citing psychiatric reports that suggested a manic episode triggered by chronic cannabis misuse.
Following the assault, the victim managed to escape and called emergency services.
Mohammed was arrested at the scene, taken to Colindale police station, and charged with four counts of rape.
Throughout the investigation, he showed no remorse, even writing to the victim from prison during his trial, further causing her distress.
The court sentenced him to six years in prison, emphasizing the seriousness of his crime and his lack of remorse.
