MICHAEL THOMPSON FROM THEALE CAUGHT WITH THOUSANDS OF CHILD INDECENT IMAGES

A local businessman from Theale has admitted to serious criminal charges involving the possession of a vast collection of indecent images of children. Michael Thompson, aged 47, appeared before the Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to possessing a total of 2,826 still images and videos depicting minors. These disturbing materials included photographs and videos of children aged between 11 and 14 years old.

The offences took place over a period spanning from December 2013 to May 2014, during which Thompson accumulated and stored these illicit images. The case was subsequently referred to Reading Crown Court for sentencing, highlighting the severity of the charges and the need for a thorough judicial review.
