Kemsley Domestic Homicide
Michael Packman, 66, of Hurst Lane, Kemsley, was involved in a serious incident resulting in the death of his wife, Stephanie Packman, who was long-term ill. Mrs. Packman died from a knife wound inflicted by her husband at their home in Kent last July, as reported during a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court. Michael Packman pleaded guilty to manslaughter during an earlier court session. The court handed down a two-year prison sentence, which was suspended for two years. Police responded to the scene to find both individuals at their residence; Mrs. Packman was deceased, and Mr. Packman was injured and received hospital treatment before being taken into custody. Detective Inspector Kaye Braybrook described the case as 'an exceptionally tragic case, with a unique set of circumstances.'
