CAERPHILLY PAEDOPHILE WHO FLED HIS VILLAGE BACK IN COURT
A known pedophile, who fled his hometown due to community outrage following his conviction for child sex offences, has appeared once again in court.
Michael Noakes, aged 66, left his previous residence at Woodland View, Wattsville, Caerphilly, in 2023 after angry local residents learned he had been caught by paedophile hunters.
The defendant had been communicating sexually explicit messages with someone he thought was a minor schoolgirl named Isabella.
However, he was actually being manipulated by the Dank Dragon group, with offences occurring as far back as 2021.
Noakes had sent her images of himself and had offered to "educate" her sexually.
He had made plans to meet a '12-year-old girl from Cardiff' at a railway station but canceled at the last moment.
He admitted to trying to engage in sexual communication with a child and to arranging a child sex offence.
His sentence included a three-year community order and a five-year sexual harm prevention order.
This week, Noakes appeared in court after breaching his order three times in March while residing in Trethomas, Caerphilly.
His police offender manager discovered he had been using a VPN, which he was barred from doing until 2028.
Judge Hywel James decided against sending him to prison, instead imposing a 12-month community order that requires 130 hours of unpaid work, attendance at 12 counseling sessions, and mental health treatment, along with a £150 court costs fee and a £114 surcharge.
