MICHAEL MALLINSON OF WELWYN ADMITS TO POSSESSING INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN IN SEPTEMBER 2017
In September 2017, Michael Mallinson, an 81-year-old resident of Welwyn, admitted to possessing thousands of indecent images and videos involving children.Mallinson, who lives on Chestnut Walk in Welwyn, pleaded guilty at St Albans Magistrates' Court to these charges.
It was revealed that he also owned 11 extreme bestiality videos, which included footage of intercourse and oral sex with animals such as horses, dogs, and cows.
The images and videos in his possession amounted to over 5,000 pieces of illegal content, categorized as follows: 770 images and 40 videos classified as Category A, 1,374 images and 30 videos as Category B, and 3,457 images with 22 videos falling under Category C.
All of these illegal materials were owned by Mallinson on or before September 29, 2016.
He has been released on bail and is scheduled to appear at St Albans Crown Court on October 6 for sentencing.
Until that date, conditions have been set prohibiting him from accessing pornography or owning any software that could be used to delete internet history, in an effort to prevent him from committing further offenses while on bail.
