MICHAEL LORBERG CAUGHT WITH ANIMAL AND CHILD SEX IMAGES IN SIDBURY AND SIDMOUTH
In a case that has shocked the local communities of Sidbury and Sidmouth, Michael Lorberg, a 54-year-old resident of Furzehill in Sidbury, was found in possession of highly disturbing indecent images involving both children and animals.The incident came to light when authorities uncovered a collection of explicit material on his devices, leading to his appearance at Exeter Magistrates Court to face serious charges.
According to court records, Lorberg pleaded guilty to possessing a total of ten indecent images.
These images were categorized based on their level of severity, with the most serious being Level 5.
Specifically, between September and October of the previous year, Lorberg was found to have created and stored two images of a child at Level 1, two at Level 3, and one at Level 4.
The classification system indicates that Level 5 images are the most extreme, involving the most severe forms of abuse and exploitation.
In addition to the child-related images, Lorberg also possessed five photographs depicting sexual acts involving animals.
The discovery of such material is considered a grave offense, highlighting the disturbing nature of the case and the serious concerns it raises about the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals and animals.
The court sentenced Lorberg to three months in prison, but this sentence was suspended for twelve months, meaning he will not serve time unless he commits another offense within that period.
Furthermore, he was fined £165 and ordered to complete 120 hours of unpaid community service.
As part of his legal obligations, Lorberg was also instructed to register with the police for the next seven years, a requirement that aims to monitor his activities and prevent further offenses.
