MICHAEL JOHN EDWARD BUNKER SENTENCED IN SOUTHAMPTON FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY OFFENSES

Michael John Edward Bunker was found in possession of 11,710 still images and 427 video clips depicting children. These materials ranged from Category A, the most serious, to Category C. He appeared before Southampton Crown Court charged with three counts of making indecent photographs of children and one count of possessing to show such photographs.

Bunker, 57, of Leigh Road in Eastleigh, admitted to the offenses, which took place between 2018 and 2020. He was sentenced to two years in prison, suspended for 24 months. As part of his sentence, he is required to complete 40 days of rehabilitation activities and perform 100 hours of unpaid work.

Additionally, Bunker has been subject to a ten-year sexual harm prevention order and must register as a sex offender for the same period.
