Michael Holliday, 47, of Walton Drive, Stakeford, Northumberland, is back behind bars for damaging his former partner's underwear and other items, after taking over her home for hours. The victim had been in a relationship with Holliday for five years, during which he became increasingly possessive.
After their split in 2019, his behaviour continued.
In March of 2019, there was an altercation at her home, and he embarked on a stalking campaign between May and August 2022, showing up multiple times near the house and bombarding her with 270 voicemails in seven weeks.
In February last year, Holliday, who has 17 previous convictions, was jailed for 16 months for stalking and was given an indefinite restraining order, but he was still contacting the victim as of this past February.
He has now pleaded guilty to harassment, breaching a restraining order, criminal damage, and possessing amphetamines and cannabis, and has been sentenced to two years and two months in prison.
