MOONING MAN IN LOCHINVER MAKES 'KILL THE KIDS' THREATS, COURT HEARS
A man named Maximilian Roberts-Dineen caused alarm in Lochinver when he engaged in disruptive and threatening behavior.According to reports, he stood on a footpath outside residents' gardens on December 18 of the previous year, shouting and swearing aggressively.
During this incident, he also dropped his trousers to reveal his bare backside and shook it from side to side, while shouting expletives at passersby, including a grandmother caring for her eight-week-old granddaughter, and threatening to harm others by stating he would “have you both.” The situation escalated when villagers observed him making threatening remarks at the village’s war memorial and demanding others to “kill the kids,” with a witness lifting a child into the playpark for protection.
Police were called, and Roberts-Dineen was arrested shortly afterward at his home, where he continued to shout, swear, and make threatening remarks.
He was not present at Tain Sheriff Court, where solicitor Rory Gowans entered a guilty plea on his behalf to a charge of threatening or abusive behavior.
The court was informed that Roberts-Dineen had exhibited signs of agitation and concern over his mental health, prompting Sheriff Gary Aitken to defer sentencing until later this year after calling for reports.
