POWYS MAN DENIES SEXUAL COMMUNICATION WITH A CHILD
A LLANDRINDOD Wells man has denied a string of sexual offences relating to children – including making indecent images of the most serious nature.Matthew Webb, 55, denied three offences when he appeared before magistrates this week.
Webb, of Glan yr Ithon, Llandrindod, denies one charge of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.
He also denied two charges of making indecent images of a child.
It is alleged he made 13 Category A images of a child – the most serious in nature – as well as two Category B images.
All offences are alleged to have taken place in September and October 2023.
Magistrates declined jurisdiction of the case and told Webb he will need to make an initial appearance at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court on March 13.
His unconditional bail will be extended to that date.
