MATTHEW LINDOP SENTENCED IN MABLETHORPE FOR MURDER OF CLAIRE HEELEY

A 23-year-old man, Matthew Lindop, has been sentenced to a minimum of 12 and a half years in prison after admitting guilt to the murder of Claire Heeley. Ms. Heeley, aged 21, was found dead in October 2005 along a seaside promenade near the Dunes Theatre in Mablethorpe. A post-mortem confirmed that she died from severe head injuries. During his sentencing at Lincoln Crown Court, it was highlighted that Lindop showed deep remorse for his crime.
