MAESTEG MAN MATTHEW HOLDER PLEADS GUILTY TO MAKING OVER 10,000 CHILD INDECENT IMAGES IN MAESTEG AND WICK
In a serious case that has shocked the local communities, Matthew Holder, a 28-year-old man from Maesteg, has admitted to producing a vast number of indecent images of children.The charges against him include the creation of more than 10,000 such illicit images, which were found on his personal computer equipment.
Holder, who resides in the area of Empress Close in Wick, faced multiple charges in connection with the disturbing material discovered on his device.
Specifically, he pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent photographs of children.
The court proceedings revealed that the images ranged in severity, with some depicting the most heinous acts involving the rape or torture of young children.
These were classified as Category A images, of which 43 were identified.
In addition to these, there were 31 images categorized as Category B, which also depicted serious abuse but to a lesser degree.
The most numerous were the Category C images, totaling 10,306, which are considered to be of the lowest severity but nonetheless represent a grave violation of child safety and dignity.
The court heard that these illicit images were stored on a Packard Bell computer tower, which was seized during the investigation.
The discovery of such a large collection of harmful material underscores the severity of Holder’s actions and the potential risk posed to children depicted in these images.
This case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat child exploitation and the importance of vigilance in identifying and prosecuting individuals involved in such criminal activities.
