MATTHEW FROST FROM CLAY COUNTRY SENTENCED TO FOUR YEARS IN JAIL IN TRURO
In August 2012, Matthew Frost, aged 22 and from Clay Country, was sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a minor.
The sentencing took place at Truro Crown Court on Tuesday, where the judge highlighted Frost's high likelihood of reoffending.
Judge Graham Cottle described the offences as sample counts of Frost’s alleged sexual behavior conducted over approximately nine months.
He stated, "This is a case of a victim submitting unwillingly to the sexual activity you wished to perform." Frost's defense lawyer, Robert Linford, requested that his client, who has no prior criminal record and is considered of good character, be given a therapeutic rather than purely punitive sentence.
However, the judge declined this request and instead imposed an indefinite sexual offences prevention order.
Additionally, Frost was ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life.
