MARK WILSON FROM QUORN SENTENCED TO NINE YEARS FOR SEXUAL ABUSE OF SCHOOLGIRL IN LEICESTER

In a case that has shocked the local community of Quorn and the surrounding areas, Mark David Wilson, aged 49, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after being found guilty of multiple counts of sexual assault involving a young girl. The incident, which took place over a span of several months in 2015, has brought to light disturbing allegations that have left many residents in disbelief.

Wilson was convicted by a jury at Leicester Crown Court on eight counts of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl. The assaults occurred between January and September of 2015, during which time the young girl was subjected to inappropriate and unlawful acts. Despite the conviction on these eight counts, Wilson was acquitted of a ninth similar allegation involving the same child, a decision that was reached after a thorough trial process.

Throughout the proceedings, Wilson, who was formerly residing on Unitt Road in Quorn, maintained his innocence. He denied all charges, asserting that he had not engaged in any indecent touching or sexual misconduct towards the girl. His defense argued that there was no evidence to support the allegations, but the jury ultimately found him guilty based on the evidence presented.

In addition to the custodial sentence, the judge also decided to extend Wilson’s license period by an extra 12 months, ensuring closer supervision upon his release.
