MAN JAILED FOR RAPE

A man described as a “bully and dangerous man” has been sentenced to prison for committing rape.

Mark White, aged 50 and from St Athan in the Vale of Glamorgan, received his sentence at Newport Crown Court on Thursday, April 30.

He is also under a 15-year restraining order aimed at further safeguarding the victim.

White had previously admitted guilt to the rape charge during an earlier hearing held at Cardiff Crown Court.

He was sentenced to 39 months behind bars and will be required to register as a sex offender indefinitely, in addition to being subject to the restraining order.
