In a disturbing incident that has shocked residents of Seaton, South Devon, Mark Tims, born around 1964 and residing on Harepath Road, was convicted in 2020 for a brutal act of animal cruelty involving a seagull. The court heard that Tims used a hockey stick to violently kill the defenseless bird, causing unnecessary suffering to a protected species. After the attack, he disposed of the bird's remains by placing them inside a bin liner and then standing on it, an act that further demonstrated his disregard for the creature's welfare.
