TOTTON MAN JAILED OVER SEXUAL OFFENCE ORDER BREACH
A sex offender has been jailed after breaching a court order less than a year after being sentenced for viewing child abuse images.
Mark Savage, 38, of Fritham Close, Totton, was sentenced last year after admitting to offences concerning 1,940 child abuse images between February 24, 2017, and February 3, 2023.
This included 618 class A images, the most serious category.
Now he has returned to Southampton Crown Court after failing to comply with the sexual harm prevention order made by the court for those images.
He did this by having four USB sticks, four SD cards, and two internet-capable streaming devices on February 9, 2026.
Judge Bill Mousley sentenced Savage to ten months in prison.
The USB sticks, memory cards and streaming devices are to be forfeited and destroyed.
He must pay a £187 surcharge.
