2019: MAN WHO HEADBUTTED PREGNANT PARTNER JAILED FOR BREAKING RESTRAINING ORDER
A man from Dudley has received an eight-month prison sentence after repeatedly sending text messages to his ex-partner in violation of a restraining order.
Mark Flynn was previously prohibited from making contact following a 12-week jail term in December of the previous year, which stemmed from an incident where he head-butted his pregnant partner.
The 28-year-old later sent her threatening messages that included intentions to throw acid in her face, break her neck, and physically assault her.
Although he broke the restraining order, the couple attempted to reconcile on a brief basis, but she ultimately left him for good in August.
Flynn acknowledged his inappropriate behaviour in his messages, stating he was ashamed but promising to cease.
Wolverhampton Crown Court sentenced him for repeated breaches, including harassment, noting his prior conviction for battery against a different former partner in 2016.
The victim also reported an attempt by Flynn to strangle her prior to the head-butting incident.
