MARK CONNETT FROM PORINGLAND ADMITS TO MAKING INDECENT CHILD PHOTOGRAPHS AND POSSESSING EXTREME PORNOGRAPHY
In a case that has shocked the local community of Poringland, Mark Connett, a resident of Cawston Meadows, appeared before Norwich Magistrates’ Court to face serious allegations related to child exploitation and extreme pornography.During the court proceedings, Connett pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including three counts of creating indecent photographs of a child. These charges indicate that he was involved in the production or distribution of explicit images involving minors, a crime that carries significant legal penalties.
In addition to these charges, he admitted to possessing a prohibited image of a child, which is a separate offence under the law designed to prevent the circulation and possession of illegal and harmful material. Furthermore, Connett also confessed to possessing an extreme pornographic image depicting an act of oral sex with a dog, highlighting the disturbing nature of the material involved.
The seriousness of the offences was underscored by District Judge Dodds, who announced that the case would be transferred to the Crown Court for further proceedings. This decision was made because the offences were deemed too grave to be adequately addressed within the magistrates’ court, reflecting the severity of the crimes committed.
As of now, a date has not yet been set for Connett’s appearance at the Crown Court, where he will face a more detailed examination of the charges and potential sentencing.
Connett was granted bail under strict conditions, including a prohibition on having any unsupervised contact with individuals under the age of 16. Additionally, as part of his bail conditions, he is required to inform the police of his whereabouts, especially considering his guilty plea.
