PARENTS NOT TOLD ABOUT PAEDOPHILE CAREWORKER
Mark Campbell, a childcare worker employed by North Tyneside Council, was identified as a paedophile.In July 2025, he was apprehended during a police operation after attempting to communicate with what he believed was a teenage girl.
His criminal activities included child sex offenses, and authorities discovered indecent images of children on his mobile device.
Campbell admitted to all charges in June 2026 and received an 18-month prison sentence.
Following his arrest, the council immediately suspended him and later terminated his employment.
It is important to note that his crimes did not involve any children from his role within the council's Family Time team, where he was responsible for tasks such as providing unsupervised transportation for vulnerable children.
