A man whose heinous pattern of sexual offenses spanned nearly twenty years has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term.
Mark Anderson, now 39 years old and residing in Port Seton, was convicted of multiple serious crimes involving the sexual abuse of children and women across different locations in Scotland, including Port Seton, Tranent, Haymarket, and Portobello.
Anderson's criminal activities began when he was just 17 years old.
In 1999, he committed his first known offense in Wallyford, where he sexually assaulted a six-year-old girl.
The gravity of his actions did not end there; he later attempted to rape her when she was approximately 12 years old and succeeded in raping her when she reached the age of 13.
All these incidents took place in Tranent, revealing a disturbing pattern of predatory behavior from a young age.
