HULL MAN JAILED AFTER DISTURBING PARK AND STREET SEX OFFENCES
A 61-year-old man, Marin Cristea, from Melbourne Street, west Hull, was jailed for one year after admitting to sexual assault offences, including approaching and kissing young children in a Hull park, and also kissing a woman in the street.He was found guilty of sexually assaulting a child under 13 on August 17 of the previous year and sexually assaulting a woman on February 22 this year.
Cristea had previous convictions for five offences, including an incident in Pearson Park where he approached a child and attempted a fist bump before grabbing their wrist.
He was also associated with incidents involving intoxication and inappropriate behaviour with women.
The court sentenced him to 12 months in prison, a 10-year sexual harm prevention order, and required him to register as a sex offender for 10 years.
The judge highlighted the impact on victims, stating that the offences were unsettling and interfered with their routines.
