High Valleyfield Domestic Abuser
A 43-year-old man named Marcus Sinclair, residing on Ochilview Drive in High Valleyfield, has been involved in abusive behavior towards his former girlfriend. Between January 1-4 of the previous year, Sinclair engaged in a pattern of aggressive and abusive actions including criticizing his ex-partner, accusing her repeatedly of infidelity, contacting her multiple times via telephone, making derogatory comments, shouting and swearing at her, and sending abusive text messages. He also sent her a photograph depicting an injury and damaged property by punching a door. Additionally, Sinclair admitted to breaching bail conditions between March 3 and April 9 by repeatedly contacting his former partner. He had been in a brief, unsuccessful five-month relationship with her. The court heard these details, and the sheriff branded his behavior as 'pathetic,' stating that, at age 43, he should have known better. Sinclair was sentenced to a community payback order with 150 hours of unpaid work, a two-year non-harassment order, and fined £420. The sheriff warned Sinclair to 'lose the attitude,' implying further trouble if he continued such behavior.
