FORMER BUCKENHAM POLICEMAN MALCOLM COLES SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL OFFENCES IN NORFOLK
In October 2002, a former police officer from Buckenham, Norfolk, Malcolm Coles, was sentenced to four years in prison after being convicted of multiple sexual offences committed against a young girl over an extended period of eight years. The court proceedings revealed a disturbing pattern of abuse that spanned from when the girl was just seven years old until she reached the age of 15.Malcolm Coles, aged 61 at the time of sentencing, had previously served with distinction in the Norfolk police force. He retired in 1992 after completing 22 years of service, including a notable six-year tenure as a schools liaison officer.
