In November 2019, Luke Chapman, an 18-year-old resident of Spirketts Lane in Harleston, faced serious allegations related to the possession and distribution of indecent images of children. The case was brought before Norwich Magistrates Court, where Chapman appeared on Friday, November 8, to answer charges of making indecent images of a child on two separate counts.

Authorities revealed that a significant collection of illicit material was found in his possession—over 1,000 images and videos depicting children aged between two and 13. These disturbing files raised immediate concern and prompted a detailed investigation into Chapman's online activities.

Prosecutor Ashley Petchey explained that Chapman had utilized the Tor network, a browser known for its ability to access the dark web, to search for and download pornographic content involving minors. His intent appeared to be driven by curiosity about how easily such material could be accessed and a disturbing desire to understand
