LLOYD WEEKES CAUGHT IN SOUTH LONDON: SHOCKING INAPPROPRIATE TOUCHING INCIDENT ON BUS IN HARINGEY

On February 26, 2018, a disturbing incident occurred aboard a W3 bus in Haringey, involving a 14-year-old girl and a man named Lloyd Weekes. The young girl was traveling with her friend when she suddenly sensed that she was being inappropriately touched. Upon turning around to investigate the source of her discomfort, she was confronted with the unsettling sight of Lloyd Weekes, a 57-year-old man, engaging in inappropriate contact.

According to reports, the girl immediately felt alarmed and distressed by the situation. Recognizing the seriousness of the incident, she quickly got off the bus at the next stop and reported the matter to the police. Her swift action was crucial in initiating an investigation into the incident.

Law enforcement officers responded promptly, and CCTV footage from the bus was circulated among officers to identify the suspect. The images clearly showed Lloyd Weekes, who was subsequently linked to the assault. It was revealed that Weekes had a history of similar offenses, having been responsible for previous incidents involving inappropriate behavior on the London Underground network.

Following a thorough investigation, Lloyd Weekes was brought before the court. On February 9, 2019, he pleaded guilty to the charges related to the incident. His guilty plea led to a sentencing hearing at Wood Green Crown Court, where he was sentenced to two years in prison on March 28, 2019. In addition to his imprisonment, the court ordered Weekes to sign the sex offenders register for a period of ten years. Furthermore, a Sexual Harm Prevention Order was imposed, restricting his activities and contact to prevent any future offenses.

This case highlights the importance of vigilance and prompt reporting in addressing and preventing sexual offenses, especially those involving vulnerable individuals such as minors. The authorities continue to emphasize the need for public cooperation in ensuring safety on public transportation and in the community at large.
