WOMAN REPEATEDLY BREACHES RESTRAINING ORDER AND IS JAILED FOR DOMESTIC STALKING
Lisa Turner, a resident of Wilmington Gardens, was found to have violated a court-issued restraining order on six separate occasions.
The order, issued on June 17, 2022, was intended to prevent her from contacting her former partner or visiting their residence.
Despite these restrictions, Turner broke the order five times between October 2022 and September 2023.
During a routine police visit to her ex-partner's home on May 20, 2023, officers uncovered her hiding under the bed, confirming her presence there.
Turner appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on May 22 and admitted to the charges.
Due to the recurrence and seriousness of her breaches, the court sentenced her to 16 weeks in custody.
Her arrest was part of Operation Saltash, a police campaign targeting repeat offenders involved in domestic abuse and stalking.
Detective Inspector Abi Goucher stressed that this was her sixth arrest for breaching the restraining order and reaffirmed the police’s dedication to protecting victims.
The restraining order has been extended until June 2024 to enhance safety measures for her former partner.
Authorities reiterated that no one should fear their attacker and that violating such orders results in significant penalties, including jail time.
