RAPIST JAILED FOR SIX YEARS
A man who forcibly ignored a woman's pleas to cease during an assault has been sentenced to six years in prison.Lindsey Smith, aged 31 and residing in Coolidge Gardens, Cottenham, engaged in non-consensual sexual activity with the woman under pressure.
During the period between December 14 and 17, he disregarded her requests for him to stop and committed two rapes.
Although he denied the charges, the jury found him guilty of two counts of rape, communicating indecently, and escaping lawful custody after a trial held at Peterborough Crown Court.
His prison term was officially handed down on June 12 at Huntingdon Law Courts.
