BORDERS CARE WORKER ACCUSED OF REPEATEDLY ASSAULTING 91-YEAR-OLD DEMENTIA SUFFERER
THE case of a Borders care worker accused of ill-treating and wilfully neglecting a 91-yearold dementia sufferer has been continued until later this month.Sixty-year-old Lindsey Cass, of South Hermitage Street, Newcastleton, is also charged with assaulting the woman, who was in her care, to her injury by seizing her by the body, causing her to fall to the ground and dragging her along the ground.
The offences are alleged to have been committed at a house in Newcastleton between September 1 and September 12.
The case was continued without plea at Jedburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday until January 22 when it will re-call at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
