Ballingry Domestic Abuser
A man from Ballingry, identified as Liam McGregor, has been fined after his reaction to his ex-partner's new relationship resulted in a court appearance. According to court reports, McGregor, aged 33, appeared before Dunfermline Sheriff Court after an incident at an address in Oakley. During the hearing, it was revealed that on May 29, McGregor was at the address where he confronted a man, shouting, swearing, making derogatory comments, and issuing threats. The depute fiscal, Catherine Stevenson, stated that McGregor was speaking to his former partner and inquired if she still loved him. When she informed him that she had been seeing others, McGregor became 'irate' and called her a 'dirty f******* slag' and a 'stop-out'. His lawyer explained that McGregor had hoped for reconciliation, but was upset when he learned she had moved on so quickly. It was also noted that the couple had been on a trial separation, and McGregor was distressed to find out she was back in a relationship with her ex. Sheriff Lindsay Foulis fined McGregor £270 for his conduct.
