LEVI BRUCE FROM SWANLEY SENTENCED AFTER BRUTAL ATTACK ON EX-PARTNER IN MAIDSTONE

In August 2021, Levi Bruce, a 21-year-old resident of Swanley, carried out a violent assault on his former partner while she was peacefully sleeping in her bed.

The attack was characterized by a series of vicious blows, with Bruce, who describes himself as a 'pro boxer,' launching multiple swings at the defenseless woman.

The assault was sudden and terrifying, leaving the victim in shock as she awoke to the brutal scene unfolding before her.

The aftermath of the attack was severe.

The victim sustained extensive injuries, including large bruising that covered much of her body, indicating the ferocity of the assault.

Additionally, she suffered a deep slash wound to her face, which was most likely inflicted with a sharp object, adding to the trauma and physical harm she endured.

Following a legal process, Levi Bruce appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on November 15, 2022.

He was convicted of Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm, a serious charge reflecting the severity of his actions.

The court sentenced him to 22 months in prison.

However, Bruce is expected to serve only four months before being released on Home Detention Curfew, a scheme that allows for early release under strict conditions.

To further protect the victim from any potential future harm, the court also issued a restraining order under section 5 of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.

This order aims to prevent Bruce from making any contact with the victim and to ensure her safety moving forward.
