LEE SHARP AND SHOCKING SEX OFFENCES IN HOLSWORTHY AND CORNWALL

A man from Cornwall has been convicted and sentenced in connection with a disturbing series of sex-related crimes that took place in the region.

Lee Sharp, aged 39 and formerly residing in Liskeard, UK, faced justice at Truro Crown Court on Wednesday, May 10, following a string of serious allegations.

Sharp was found guilty of multiple charges involving exploitation and the possession of explicit material concerning minors.

The offences included a breach of a sexual harm prevention order, an attempted attempt to communicate sexually with a child, incitement to view sexual content, and the creation of three indecent images depicting minors.

These offences spanned approximately two years, beginning in September 2020 and extending through November 2022.

The defendant chose to plead guilty to all of the charges brought against him, which facilitated a more streamlined sentencing process.

The court ultimately sentenced Lee Sharp to a total of 52 months imprisonment.

Alongside his custodial sentence, he was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge, reflecting the seriousness of his offences.

Legal guidelines, as outlined by the Sentencing Council, specify that the maximum penalty for engaging in sexual communication with a child is two years in custody.

Breaching a sexual harm prevention order carries a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment.

Possessing indecent images of children, as in Sharp's case, can attract a maximum sentence of five years behind bars.
