HULL MAN LEE DANIELS JAILED AGAIN FOR HARASSMENT AND ASSAULT AFTER BREACHES OF RESTRAINING ORDER
A troublesome son who was previously jailed for repeatedly harassing and pestering his long-suffering mother for money – in blatant defiance of court orders – has been locked up again.
Serial criminal Lee Daniels was in a continuing cycle of being jailed and then being released before immediately reverting to making a nuisance of himself.
Daniels, 34, of Hull, but recently in custody on remand, admitted harassing his mother and assaulting a police officer as an emergency worker on July 19.
He had convictions for 89 previous offences, 32 of them for breaching court orders, and had been jailed for eight months in November last year and one year in June last year.
He was on licence at the time of the latest offences.
Daniels kicked and spat at a female police officer, and declared: 'I'm going to bite one of your noses off.' He also spat in her face and hurled abuse, while confirming he had hepatitis B.
The court heard Daniels had previously breached a five-year restraining order made on June 28 last year, banning him from contacting his mother, and had been jailed multiple times for breaches.
His latest offence involved him going to his mother's home 12 times, asking for money, and making hundreds of phone calls and sending messages.
He was arrested on November 1 after breaching a court order and received an eight-month sentence to run concurrently with his recall to custody.
The judge noted this was his third breach of the restraining order, and he had a history of many breaches and previous prison terms.
Daniels, who is now 34, has been totally drug-free for almost two months, and expressed willingness to accept help, despite previous resistance to probation assistance.
The court sentenced him to one year in jail, and the current restraining order will remain in place.
