VIOLENT PARTNER PUNCTURED GIRLFRIEND'S HANDS WITH CRIME PREVENTION SPIKES
A 'high risk' violent partner punctured his girlfriend's hands by pushing them down on fitted crime prevention grip spikes on a door.Drunk Lance Whitbrook was verbally aggressive when he turned up at her address, kicking the side door of her home and tried to take down her CCTV.
She was injured when her hand was on the door with the grip spikes on.
Whitbrook put his hands on her hands and pushed down with force, leaving punctures to her hands.
After pleading guilty and receiving a suspended prison sentence for assault, causing bodily harm, he was handed a restraining order to stay away from her - but breached it immediately.
The breach involved his partner getting in touch with him.
They discussed getting back together and decided to go on a trip which lasted just two days.

She decided she did not want any further contact with Whitbrook, who was banned from contacting her directly or indirectly and restricted from entering a street in Chilwell.
He told a judge from the dock at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday (August 16) his partner had been teetotal for two years.
Whitbrook, 54, of Harcourt Street, Beeston, had tried Alcoholics Anonymous and various things, he said.
He came out of prison and she picked him up and, "we were going to try our relationship again", he said as he spoke about breaching the court order.
They visited Blackpool and Rhyl but it was apparent they would never see eye to eye.
"It is very difficult to say when you love someone," continued Whitbrook.
They agreed not to see each other and, "Went our happy ways, or unhappy ways".
Now he is trying to cut his drinking down, which has been "part of my life all my life", knuckle down, carry on grafting and providing for his children.
"I'm not getting any younger", he confessed.
He has previously breached five restraining orders against three different previous partners.
Judge Rupert Mayo made a fresh restraining order regarding the latest victim, banning contract with her.
"You have a number of previous convictions which involve violence and harassment of partners, and are assessed as posing a high risk to this partner and to anybody else you get close to", he said.
His total sentence was 19 months in prison, of which he will serve half, for breaching the restraining order and breaching the suspended sentence for the assault, causing bodily harm.
