An offender named Kyle Mellis has been convicted for possessing and taking indecent images of children, including videos of girls between the ages of four and 13.Police received intelligence that an indecent video involving a child was uploaded from Mellis's Instagram account in December 2022.
Officers searched his home and seized three mobile phones, discovering disturbing images and videos, including two category A videos, one category B still image, and eight category C images of children.
Further inaccessible files included additional videos and images across categories A, B, and C, with children estimated to be between four and 13 years old involved in sexual activity and posed sexually.
Mellis pleaded guilty to taking, permitting to be taken, or making indecent images of children, as well as possession of such images.
