MAN JAILED FOR 22 YEARS FOR RAPING AND ABUSING BOY AND SEXUALLY ABUSING GIRL
A man from Ewell, who was responsible for committing incredibly heinous crimes, has been sentenced to 22 years in prison after assaulting a boy and sexually abusing a girl.Videos depicting the abuse appeared on the dark web but have since been removed, as confirmed by the National Crime Agency (NCA).
Kyle Fox, aged 26, pleaded guilty to attacking the minors and recording the assaults but denied distributing any footage.
He claimed that he lost a memory stick containing the recordings, and another individual uploaded the content to the dark web.
During the sentencing at Kingston Crown Court on Friday, March 1, Fox received a 22-year term plus an extended two-year license period.
He is also subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, and his electronic devices are to be destroyed.
While Fox’s face was not visible in the videos, NCA investigators utilised advanced techniques to identify him and both victims, who are unrelated to each other.
The NCA’s National Cyber Crime Unit, with assistance from South Korean and U.S.
partners, helped shut down the website hosting 145,000 child sex abuse videos, which had been accessed millions of times by offenders.
Authorities arrested Fox on September 5, 2018.
Officers seized his laptop, which contained numerous images and videos of abuse 29 of which showed the rape and indecent assault of a boy.
Fox pleaded guilty to 14 charges related to the boy during a court hearing on October 23, 2018, including seven counts of rape, five of digital penetration, one of penetration with the tongue, and one count of multiple indecent assaults.
He also admitted five counts involving the girl, including four of digital penetration and one of penetration with the tongue.
Additionally, Fox confessed to possessing a large collection of indecent images of children, totaling 4,743 Category A images or videos, 4,263 Category B, and 3,995 Category C.
The sentencing judge described Fox’s actions as extremely serious and depraved.
The judge highlighted that online chat logs uncovered during investigation showed his ‘repugnant and distorted attitude’ towards children.
Jason Booth, senior investigating officer at the NCA, stated: “Kyle Fox committed horrific crimes, with first-generation images of the abuse appearing online.
Law enforcement must proactively target the most dangerous offenders, employing covert and specialist tools to address high-risk cases and areas with a greater likelihood of contact abuse.
The NCA prioritizes these cases to protect vulnerable children and bring offenders to justice.”
