TARBOLTON DAD ADMITS THREATENING BEHAVIOUR AFTER FOLLOWING EX-PARTNER AND CAUSING FEAR
A DAD admitted following his ex partner’s car after being denied access to his 10-year-old son then tailing her vehicle.
Kyle Colquhoun, 29, of Tarbolton, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of threatening behaviour at Fulshaw Place, Ayr and elsewhere when he appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.
The Procurator Fiscal depute stated that at 11.15pm on April 22, the witness was at her home and received a call from her ex partner to speak to her son, but he was asleep.
The following evening, at 7.30pm, she drove to another witness's home with her 7-year-old daughter.
She left around 8.15pm and observed Colquhoun on a public footpath next to his vehicle.
She then entered her vehicle and was followed by him, driven by a friend.
On the A77 at the Whitletts roundabout, she contacted police as the seven-year-old appeared visibly upset.
Colquhoun was cautioned, charged, and made no reply.
Sheriff Desmond Leslie sentenced him to a community payback order and placed him under supervision for one year.
