COUNTY DURHAM MAN FACING TRIAL FOR SERIES OF STALKING CLAIMS
A County Durham man is facing trial for a series of stalking charges and threatening to disclose intimate images of women.According to court documents, McCabe was charged with harassment without violence and threatening to disclose private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress between November 2023 and January 2024.
He is also facing charges of stalking involving fear of violence against the woman.
Judge Peter Armstrong was told that McCabe was facing stalking charges and threatening to disclose intimate images against a second woman.
As well as a further charge of communication threatening death or serious harm, where he allegedly threatened to rip a man’s throat out, ram a shillelagh (thick stick) down his throat and choke him until he died.
The judge set a date for the trial on April 27 next year at Durham Crown Court after hearing that the defendant had been remanded in custody.
McCabe, formerly of Brandon, County Durham, has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
