LINCOLNSHIRE WOMAN AND MAN JAILED FOR 'HORRENDOUS' VILLAGE RAPE
A man and woman committed a "horrendous" rape in a Lincolnshire village - and have now been jailed for a combined 14 years.Jonathan Stocks and Kimberly Jowle were found guilty following a five-day trial at Lincoln Crown Court.
The "harrowing" incident took place in the village of Fiskerton in 2023, an incident which police said they will be living with for the rest of their lives.
Stocks, 48, was convicted of rape and sentenced to nine years in jail.
Jowle, 38, was found guilty of rape and two counts of sexual assault and handed a five-year prison term.
Detective Constable Warwick Taylor has praised the victim for their strength throughout the investigation and says without them Stocks and Jowle would not have been brought to justice.
He said: “Ultimately, this was a harrowing ordeal for the victim who has supported the investigation every step of the way and has been the embodiment of strength and determination throughout.
They will have to live with the impact of this crime for the rest of their lives, but I hope these sentences give them some sense of closure.
“Stocks and Jowle committed a horrendous crime and have been quite rightly punished their behaviour.
This result shows that those who commit this type of crime will be brought to justice and these sentences should serve as a deterrent to those who think that this is acceptable.
Anyone who has been the victim of rape or sexual assault or any other sexual offence should report it as soon as possible.
Even if you are not 100 percent sure, the force would still like to hear from you to ensure your safety.
