ABERDEENSHIRE DOG BOARDER UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR ANIMAL ABUSE
The SSPCA is investigating an Aberdeenshire dog boarder who was filmed ‘pulling a spaniel by the ears’.Kiki Sutherland, who resides in Monymusk, is also under investigation by Aberdeenshire Council as she lacks the required animal boarding licence, which is mandated by law.A video depicting her roughly handling a dog has gone viral on Facebook, where Ms Sutherland promotes a home boarding service for dogs.The footage, which has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times, shows a dog wagging its tail and wandering around a back garden.Ms Sutherland appears to pick up the dog by the ears and drag it a short distance.‘When I was watching it, I was crying’One concerned local, choosing to remain anonymous, told The Press and Journal: “That’s other people’s dogs she’s handling like that.
When I was watching it, I was crying.” The 13-second video has gone viral online.

Under Scottish law, anyone operating a boarding business must have a licence issued by the local council.An Aberdeenshire Council spokesperson stated: “Along with colleagues from the SSPCA, animal health officers attended the property and spoke with the owner.
We can confirm that the premises does not hold an animal boarding license with Aberdeenshire Council.
Investigations into this incident are ongoing.”Ms Sutherland has not responded to repeated requests for comment.
