MAN JAILED FOR COERCIVE BEHAVIOUR AFTER ASSAULT THREATS
A man was sentenced to more than three years in prison after being found guilty of a campaign of abuse against a woman in Bodmin.
Kieran McKeowan, 27, of Chapel Street, Devonport, changed his plea to guilty at Truro Crown Court on charges of coercive behavior directed at a woman between 2023 and 2024 in Bodmin.
The court heard he had repeatedly assaulted her, threatened her with knives, and isolated her from friends.
Charges related to threats to kill her, strangulation, assault, and criminal damage, which he initially denied, will still be included on the court record.
