SEX OFFENDER FAILS TO NOTIFY POLICE OF RELATIONSHIP AND ADDRESS CHANGE
A sex offender identified as Kevin Stones, aged 52, who resides on Main Street in Epperstone, was given a suspended prison sentence at Nottingham Magistrates' Court for failing to notify police of forming a close relationship and changing his address.Stones pleaded guilty to these offences under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 and violations of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
He was sentenced to 16 weeks in custody, suspended for a year, for not reporting the change of address within three days.
Additionally, he received a concurrently suspended four-week sentence for not reporting the close relationship.
The court considered the seriousness of his breaches, which passed the custody threshold.
Stones was also ordered to pay costs of £213.
