MAN JAILED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES AFTER EXTENSIVE INVESTIGATION
A man has been given a four-year jail term after pleading guilty to five child sex offences.
Kevin Lee House, 67, from Desborough, was sentenced at Northampton Crown Court after authorities discovered extreme pornography on devices seized from his residence.
Det Con Abigail Jones described the investigation as "lengthy and complex," involving detailed forensic analysis.
She stated, "I hope it sends a message to other people who may be accessing indecent images of children," and added, "You may think you have taken steps to cover your tracks but our teams are full of tenacious, talented individuals determined to uncover your offending, and we will put you behind bars." Northamptonshire Police reported that on 10 November 2018, they received intelligence indicating House had uploaded the most serious indecent image of a child.
The police executed a warrant at his home in August 2019, during which evidence was found that he had discussed the "facilitation of child sex offences." He admitted to three counts of arranging or facilitating a child sex offence, possessing extreme pornography, and creating an indecent image of a child.
He was sentenced on 27 August and was also issued a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO), which can restrict his travel or require attendance at sex offender programs.
