A man from Sturminster Newton, Kerry Walters, aged 42, has been sentenced to seven and a half years in prison for multiple child sex offences. The offences involved assaulting a girl under the age of 13 by penetration and inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity. Walters appeared at Bournemouth Crown Court on October 18, where he was convicted after a trial following a detailed investigation by Dorset Police’s Child Abuse Investigation Team (CAIT). The victim disclosed the abuse in November 2019, stating that the incidents had occurred approximately four years prior.
