2007: WOMAN JAILED FOR SEX ATTACKS ON YOUNG GIRL

A Russell's Hall woman has been jailed for five years after being found guilty of making a string of sex attacks on a young girl.

Kerry Cronin, of Osprey Drive, denied six charges of sexual assault on a child under 13 years of age.

However, a jury returned unanimous guilty verdicts on all charges after deliberating for just over three hours at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Friday, January 12.

Judge Michael Challinor told Cronin, aged 32, that because of the seriousness of the offences, only a substantial term behind bars was appropriate.
