ALDERMAN'S GREEN RAPIST TO SERVE FURTHER TIME FOR ASSAULTING FORMER PARTNER
Kelvin Wilson, aged 23, who is a convicted rapist and attacker, is set to serve an additional two months in prison after pleading guilty at Coventry Crown Court to assaulting his former partner with a charge of assault by beating. The incident took place in December 2013 when Wilson assaulted the woman by hitting her in the face.
Initially, he was scheduled to face a more serious trial but upon discussions between the barristers, he admitted the lesser charge of assault.
This assault occurred during a month in which Wilson and his previous partner learned she was pregnant.
The same month, Wilson also raped a woman he met during a night out in Hartlepool.
He was originally jailed for the two rapes in April.
Furthermore, Wilson attacked one woman after a night out in Liverpool in August 2013 and another woman in a hotel room in Hartlepool in December 2013.
Before sentencing for the assault, Wilson would have had to serve at least four and a half years for the rape convictions alone.
He will now serve the rest of his lengthy sentence on licence.
The article notes that Wilson, who was of Alderman's Green Road, Aldermans Green and is now behind bars, was involved in these serious crimes including rape and assault, highlighting the criminal charges he has admitted and the consequences including additional custodial time and ongoing imprisonment on licence.
