Warwick Animal Abuser
Kelvin Hill, also known as Kieran Hill, born on July 26, 1975, has a troubling criminal history that spans several locations including Warwick, Nuneaton, Bedworth, and Birmingham. As of 2022, he resided at 12 Witton Road, Handsworth, Birmingham B6 5NY. However, his ties to Warwick and nearby towns have been well documented through his past offenses and associations.

One of the most heinous acts attributed to Hill involves the brutal killing of a five-month-old Labrador-cross puppy named Marley. The incident took place on September 29, 2009, and has left a lasting scar on those involved. The puppy, which was a gift for a young child, was found dead in the lounge of a Nuneaton home after Hill had visited the residence of his former partner, Karen Harbour.

According to court testimony presented by Gaynor Sutton, representing the RSPCA, Hill had gone to Harbour’s house to ask for money. During his visit, Harbour and her mother left the house briefly to go to a post office to collect child benefit. When they returned, Harbour was devastated to discover Marley lying lifeless on the floor, surrounded by a pool of blood and urine. Bloodstains were also found splattered across the kitchen cupboards.

Harbour recounted her distress in court, stating, “I was extremely upset. Kelvin Hill was upstairs and he denied having anything to do with it. When I said I was going to phone the police he jumped up and said he had killed my dog by taking it by its legs and smashing its skull against the kitchen floor.”

The injuries inflicted on Marley were severe. The puppy had suffered three fractures to the jaw, broken teeth, and traumatic injuries to the brain, ultimately succumbing to its injuries after enduring significant pain. Evidence indicated that it would have taken up to 15 minutes for the dog to die from the injuries inflicted.

Hill’s criminal record is extensive. At the time of the animal cruelty incident, he was already serving time for aggravated burglary. Despite the gravity of the case, Hill refused to attend court proceedings to face the animal cruelty charges. The court sentenced him to an additional 20 weeks in custody, to be served consecutively with his existing sentence for burglary. Furthermore, he was banned for life from owning or keeping animals.

In a broader context, Hill’s criminal history includes a three-year prison sentence handed down in March 2017 for burglary. Warwickshire Police have released a mugshot of Hill, highlighting his ongoing pattern of criminal behavior and the serious nature of his offenses.
