A man identified as Keith Brown has been handed a significant prison sentence following his conviction for a heinous sexual assault that took place in Upton-on-Severn.The incident involved an 83-year-old woman who was subjected to rape within the confines of her own home, an act that has shocked the local community and prompted a swift response from law enforcement authorities.
Keith Brown, aged 55 and residing on Blakes Lane in Guarlford, Malvern, was sentenced at Worcester Crown Court.
His punishment includes a term of 10 years and 8 months in prison, with an additional three-year extension to be served on licence.
This extension means that even after his release, Brown will remain under supervision for a further three years, emphasizing the severity of his crime.
Brown had entered a guilty plea on Monday, 14 September, admitting to the charge of rape.
